DC David McCallum paid a visit to the colony meeting to present two very special service awards, He explained to the Beaver Scouts that he had received letters from the Chief Scout, Bear Grylls, instructing him to present awards to Margaret Marrs and John Blair.

Margaret has 25 years service as a warranted leader with Beaver Scouts and John has achieved a truly impressive 50 years. David pointed out  that in fact John had more years of service to scouts than he himself had been alive. Scary thought! 1st Gourock Beaver Scouts are very proud of both Margaret and John.
