Happy New Year

Welcome back!

This year our Scout Group is approaching 102 years old, but  Beavers have just turned 25!. 

The Beaver Scout Section in Gourock was up and running before the official start  up in the whole of the UK. The original leaders were Susan King, Margot Cowie and Ann Blair. Many of the early Beavers have grown up to be our Beaver, Cub and Scout Leaders of today, they are still applying the Beaver principles of fun and friends to all of our sections.

We now have a team of 22 adult leaders and sectional assistants to support programme delivery for Scouting in Gourock, they are ably assisted by the parent members in our Group Executive who help with fundraising to maintain our building, minibus and essential equipment. Please remember that all are volunteers..

As the sections return I hope that you will continue your support for the group and assist us by emptying your childs pockets at the end of the section meeting!  At present our best method of communication is still bits of paper and updates to this website, we hope to change gradually to email for all.
