Congratulations to Alexander, Fraser, Jack, Kieran, Michael, Lewis, Thomas and Ryan on gaining their Chief Scouts Gold Award.  This is a fitting end to their time in the Scout Troop and we wish them well as they move up to Explorers.  (Unfortunately as three scouts were on the way home from a school trip we don't have a photo of all eight, yet.)

Also, we're very happy to welcome four new members to the troop too!

Twenty-five bin bags of rubbish, along with a rusty bike, a car numberplate and a road sign were cleared up by the 6th scouts during a community clear up on the 4th of June.  The scouts set to work with gloves and litterpickers and have made a big improvement to the paths and grass of Gourock's Darroch Park.  Thanks to staff at Inverclyde Council for the loan of equipment.

Another successful 97 mile trek in what can at best be described as challenging conditions!  Relentless rain on the first 3 days - Milngavie to Tyndrum did not dampen the spirits of the 13 Scouts, Explorers, Network members and leaders from the 6th and 33rd.  The pain will soon disappear but the memories will live on.
