Four hardy scouts, three leaders and one dog met at CalMac at a very early time (for a Sunday!) to hike up Bishop's Seat. Once tickets had been bought and Jinny had negotiated the ferry's ramp the group were on their way - right into the rain.
However, the rain cleared up soon after, just leaving the challenges of the 'path' through the trees and plenty of leftover snow.
The summit of the hill was reached just after noon. The group sat down for a leisurely lunch inside the new Storm Shelter - which made for a very orange experience!
The scouts practiced their navigation skills on the way back down through Bishop's Glen.
Once back in Dunoon, stones were thrown into the river, the dog was washed and the 15:50 ferry was missed. Never mind, the leaders cut the scouts loose for half an hour. Both groups then went on the hunt for chocolate and sugary drinks before meeting back at the ferry with plenty of time before the next boat. All in all, a pleasant yet tiring day out!
